Can anyone shed some light on the feasability and realibility of synthetic shrouds? Here are a few websites that reference that:

Forget the naysayers. Get some deadeyes, lanyard, dynex dux for shrouds and stays... start splicing, and do it! It's been in use in industry for a while now. It is plenty reliable. Ignore the naysaying people who fear the future.

Synthetic standing rigging is lighter, cheaper, easier... it is coming.
