I have a 1949 Monk with the original Chrysler Crown (6 cyl). Can anyone tell me how to wire the dual tachometers (inside/outside helms)?

They were wired to the coil (not sure how), but kept causing the coil to burn-out. I suspect there was a short(s)/fault in the old wiring.

I would like to avoid hiring a mechanic and rewire them myself but need a wiring diagram or step-by-step instructions on how to connect them both. I do know the coil uses an external resister.
