My TackTick was displaying slow wind speed, so I took it apart, evicted a spider and cleaned the bearings following Patrick Childress’ YouTube video. Patrick used a drop of sewing machine oil on the bearing, but I noticed that on mine, the anemometer cups spin much more freely with no oil on the bearings.
That made me wonder, is dry better than oiled?
