gamayun,
Well, I am now the proud owner of a Freedom 40AC cat ketch, So what the heck do I do now. Oh, I know: B.O.A.T.T. The boat does need some work according to the survey, but nothing major. I think I can get all the must haves and should haves done for around 10K, give or take a few K.
It has no AWI and the speed/depth are mounted behind the companionway hatch as is the radar/chartplotter. These old eyes cannot see them from the helm so I am having a wireless system installed and a tablet at the helm. Just have to figure out how to keep water out of it.
Now I just have to figure out how to get her in and out of the slip without damage to anyone or anything. I have been practicing my pucker to be ready for the first time I do it alone. I think I am well pucked.
Welcome to Freedom World! It seems to be a niche group of great people. I remember well that pucker feeling when I took my F38 out for the first time by myself. So far, it has been all good
