I am a recent owner of a 1975 Dufour 24, popular in Europe and nearly invisible in the US. On all Dufour 24s after 1975 there is an amazing rolling kitchen setup, perfectly designed to slide under the starboard cockpit bench.

I'm throwing a dart in the dark, but is there anyone in the sailnet world that might have a derelict Dufour with a kitchen unit they wish to sell?

Probably long odds, as you suspect I'm sure...

Locally the Hotfoot 27 was offered with a similar setup. Seems to me that it shouldn't be all that difficult to DIY such a sliding galley arrangement.

Chrysler 22's came with a galley that slid on a track back under quarter berth. Might find one of those somewhere.
(I know there is one around Lake Of The Woods - I took it out of my own boat in the 1970's)

Catalina 22 had the same arrangement. Mine didn't have one, so, I bought one on e-Bay and had it shipped to the Midwest. Never used it once. Never really as functional as I thought it would be. It would have not been too difficult to make something that would serve the same function myself.

That, of course, did not help you one bit.

Thanks guys for your alternative suggestions and recommendations I recognize it's not all it's cracked up to be. I think, if eBay doesn't pay out, I'll follow the DIY thread all the way to a solution. Thanks again!

I had one on a Catalina 22 in the 1970's, in fact it was one of the big pluses I thought, since the boat was a daysail all year/cruise once a year for a week/do a few overnights. In the event, however, the galley when set up was too heavy to easily slide and the quarter berth where it was supposed to slide into tended to accumulate stuff. Ended up not really being very useful.
