A couple years back sailing to Taou we took these photos of dogs that hunt sharks in Taou. I put it together into a little video slide with naration to try and explain how the dogs corner the sharks, flip the rocks, and drag the sharks up the beach to eat them.

What I have always wondered is if the dogs were taught this trick, or they figured it out, or is it some pre programed natural response to being hungry.

Ta-wow!
One must wonder how these dogs learned this trick but however they learned to do this, it is in their culture now.
I wonder if the one dog's clipped tail is from a misadventure with a slightly bigger shark?

Pretty cool. Dogs have a natural prey drive which I think is what would lead them to try hunting the fish and then refine their techniques over time.
