I just saw this while surfing the net this morning. It's probably not big enough for much more than underwear and maybe t-shirts and short pants. But for cruisers on small(-ish) to medium-sized boats it might be a pretty slick unit (if you have access to enough freshwater). Having the option of changing into fresh underwear, even if you still have to put on grungy jeans, is hard to over-rate.

A tad pricey to wash one shirt at a time, me thinks. I'd probably just do them in a bucket myself and save the $ for proper drinks.

Well, I'm more inclined to just seal a few things, some water, and soap in a 5-gal bucket and let it roll back and forth in the cockpit foot well for a half-hour. I just thought I would point it out to folks with boats larger than my 27-footer (and/or who are more "gadget oriented").

That is the one I was trying to link to found one at a second hand store for 10 bucks works good and when not being used all the parts store inside along with small bottle of laundry soap. For me it was money well spent don't take long to save the pur have price as opposed to laundrymat prices in my area they average 2.50 to wash and same to dry so two loads paid for mine and a coup,e months worth would pay for new unit. Should have posted this in the 500 buck thread

We use a bucket and a toilet plunger. The only problem is that is getting really hard to buy a decent plunger these days. the dollar store ones (the norm all over the world) may look like that lovely dark red rubber of the traditional plunger but they are a plastic that does not stand up to … well plunging. To add insult to injury we bought two (they were cheap and we knew that one would not stand up) at a store in downtown Cape Town and carried them around town and then on the hour+ train trip back to the boat in Simonstown. Had the handles stuck into the small pack back we had. As we were getting onto the boat the pack was turned enough that they both went into the drink. Water was too deep and too cold to go diving for them. : )

That looks like a good idea, the only problem was that we were in places that had dubious mail links with Amazon. Could have ordered one in American Samoa. They had great USPS service and not expensive. Parcels came in on Friday afternoon and dozens of people showed up at the post office to pick up their swag.
