Hello all. I am looking at buyiny a reinell 23 i believe. It has ashoal keel which is only maybe 2 feet and it sits low on the trailer only a few inches higher than a swing keel boat. Anyone know if it can be launched on a boat ramp? I do not believe it has an extendeable toungue.
Thanx

Depends on the trailer. I could launch my Mac 25 without an extension, but it only drew 18" or so with the keel up. I need a 7' extension to launch my Bristol 24 with a 3' 5" draft and a low, custom made trailer. If you have a
4wd and are willing to get your bumper wet, it might work. An extension can be made from 2" square tube. most weld shops can do the job.

It depends on the steepness of the ramp. It is also easier the more it floats on and off, rather than being pushed or pulled. An extension can help. The specifics of how it would be without one depend on the boat, ramp and trailer design.

It depends on the design of the trailer, the ramp length and steepness, the depth of the water and the draft of the boat... It can probably be launched on some ramps and not on others... :D
