I own a Potter 19 and I'm going to buy a fishfinder. My main use will be to see where the bottom is located. I really don't need a GPS model. So, I'm looking at the more inexpensive B&W fish finders.

I really don't want to drill holes in my transom to mount a transducer. Should I purchase a thru-hull transducer? Any recommendations?
