Its gotten so expensive the last few years (ever since it was profiled on MTV). Friends of mine are actually contemplating Couva carnvial instead of town.

I unfortunately couldn't get the time of work. I have friends who live there and was planning a visit but that fell through. I will research Couva Carnival, thanks for the tip
