Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this little plug thing in the floor of my CS27? It's located in the middle of the sole between the head and the closet.

My first thought was that it could be used to lift the floor for bilge access, but the floor is bunged in there nice and tight, so it's not moving. Am I missing some higher cosmic purpose?

Thanks,
Chris

Maybe just an access hole to stick a shop vac nozzle in there to suck out some water???

I'm quite certain it is intended as a grip to lift the floorboard out. I have it in my CS27 and that's what I use it for. My floorboard between the head and the hanging locker comes out easily but I don't have the Teak and Holly sole. I saw the same "plug thingy" on several boats at the Port Credit Boat Show 2 weeks ago... I don't recall if it was on a new or used boat.
