I have an '87 Newport 33 with a Universal 25 with electric fuel pump that has developed a nasty habit of suddenly (usually after 30 ' or so of running perfectly) losing RPM's and dying. I have polished the fuel, replaced the Racor filter, the spin on filter, and bled the lines but the problem keeps happening. The engine will restart after about 20 minutes and run perfectly until dying again. Any thoughts gratefully accepted.

Sounds like either a dying electric fuel lift pump (possibly clogged filter IN THE PUMP) or an air leak in the fuel line.

eh is right. lt could be a screen on the intake hose inside the fuel tank.
