I have an '86 Beneteau that I have really enjoyed and kept up. However, about three months ago one of my water/bladder bags sprung a leak. As I was not at the boat at the time, my brother took it out and was going to repair it. Unfortunately, it now has been lost! No where to be found. It was a bag that held 45 gallons. It was under the settee and was an odd shape. Now I need a new one and cannot find one that fits very well on the web. If I measure the area, is there a company or someone out there who can build me one at a reasonable price? Beneteau wants $1,100.00 for a replacement which seems high to me.

Thanks,
DCH

Plastimo at WM
Plastimo USA

There is a link to West marines equal, and to the US supplier of you water bag, assuming it is teh same thing my 85 Jeanneau uses. I'm swag'ing 98% that it is this brand and type. There is NO reason to spend $1100 for that water bag, when WM has them for less than less than $200 for upwards of 50 gals bags.

Vetus just released a bladder that come saturated with some sort of epoxy that makes it appropriate for water and fuel. It is flexible during installation then cures to the shape of the space it occupies using a UV light. Don't know the cost but it might be a solution for you.

I will add a twist to the question.
When I bought my boat 2 years ago, it came with a poly water tank, and a bladder for a holding tank.
Looking at the link on this post for bladders, I don't see any mention of using them for holding. It is something I was going to get around changing someday.
It is something I should do right away?
