Hey,

There have been a number of people asking questions about chart plotters / fish finder units. I am on the West Marine mailing list. Each Friday they have a 'Fantastic Friday' sale. This week it's a Lowrance HDS-5 unit:

I have no affiliation with WM. This seems like a really great deal. The HDS 5 has both NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 interfaces, supports wifi, comes with the transducer, etc.

For $350 I don't know how you can go wrong!

NMEA2000 AND includes Nautic Insight charts, and a 200 khz sounder. that is a screaming deal.

I bought this unit during a Christmas sale this past year (didn't get that good of a deal though). It's a great unit if you don't need a big honkin screen and don't want "touch screen".
