Need some thoughts if possible. My engine will not start. Batteries appear fine, good voltage and power all other house loads. When key is turned to ignition, buzzers sound but when turned to start nothing happens. no noise of starter or anything. Checked the 20 amp breaker on the engine and it appears OK. Could be neutral safety switch or possibly a bad starter solenoid. Has anyone seen this kind of problem? Thanks.

Sounds like a classic starter problem. Try this - give the starter and/or soleniod a tap with a hammer. If it starts, then you've isolated the problem. if that doesn't work, put a voltmeter on the starter and see if it's getting power when you turn the switch or push the starter button (if equiped).

My bet is that it's a bad starter/solenoid. Try to isolate to which it is. They're expensive, but easy to fix. You can do it yourself.
