It sounds like a beamy full keel, shoal draft, heavy displacement boat...heavier and beamier than a Cape Dory 26... probably very slow...
Sounds like a bluewater cruiser...maybe a Westsail 42?
I wanna play! Here are the specs of the boat we currently have in escrow, awaiting survey and sea trial.
(No cheating CD!)
LOA- 41'10
LWL- 34'7
Beam- 12'9
Displacement-21,500
Draft- 5'10
Ballast- 8,870
(I love this one, the ARE loves this one, here's hoping the surveyor loves it as well so we can be done already!)
Sail Area- 800 sq ft.
Catalina 42
Oh, you said that earlier, but I thought you were BS'n..............sorry
Specs match C42 though![]()
I wish it was! Close but not quite...its purty though.
Initial inspection by our surveyor was today, waiting to hear if we get to move on to sea trial and haul out survey.
this point, unless she has delaminating decks, blisters that can not be repaired or a problem with the keel we are soooo close to being owned by a boat!
Here's hoping it all goes well...
