Hi all. I stumbled on this boat. these are the only two pictures i have and i wanted to find out what kind of boat it is. Can anyone ID it? I believe it's a 21'.

looking at the boat and trailer, it looks like a MacGregor, I have a Mac 25, you sure its a 21footer? My trailer is almost the same as yours, and looking at the winch that's looks the same too, also the hatch to enter the cabin, though the two windows and the forward hatch do question if I am correct. You might check the MacGregor board they might be able to help.

hi guys. I the mac has different windows and both the mac and the catalina have the hatch differently. this one has the hatch on the angled surface as opposed to the cat and mac which have it on a flat surface. This is a boat i saw for sale for a great price, owner knows nothing about it so i was trying to at least figure out what kind it is.

All boats manufactured or imported on or after November 1, 1972 must bear a HIN (Hull Identification Number). Look for the HIN, read the referenced information Hull ID Numbers - BoatSafe.com, and follow the link to look up the manufacturer. No guess work is required.

You say the owner knows nothing about it. Does he have the title? If not, beware.

Again the HIN is a key source of information. Using the HIN your local police force should be able to identify the most recent registered owner.

It may well be too old to have an official HIN.. My first thought was a Luger, but can't find an image to match. Neither MacG or Ventures had two cabin port/windows..

As Ward H was saying, if the boat has a title it will say what it is. If it does not have a title don't spend another second even thinking about this boat.
