We are getting ready to replace our stainless steel hatches on our boat and understand we need to use a polysulfide. We hear positve comments on Life Caulk but have always used 3M products. Any thoughts or recommendations on these or others? All comments truely appreciated... as we only want to do this once. Thanks

3M 101.. You can have the old hatches re-built by Select Plastics too..

Not in my experience. I use 3M 101 over Life Caulk because it seems to lasts longer, yellows less and remains more flexible over time. I have also had less "bad tubes" of 3M 101 but perhaps that's because I buy from Hamilton and they move a lot of 3M 101. Also 3M makes their own formulation and Life Caulk has it made for them, this straight from the 3M rep. This allows 3M to control product quality, batch to batch, better and make any changes necessary to fix a problem quickly..
