hi I just bought a san juan 24 and it dosent have any kind of mainsheet rigging(ropes, travelers, blocks, ropes) or jib sheet rigging. im wondering what is the cheapest/best way to get it ready to sail around the texas coast in winds around 10-15 knots?

Harken Compu Spec

Go to that link. While it will NOT be the cheapest option, it will tell you what you want to get etc in an easy package. THEN, if you do not want Harken, you can find equal in Lewmar, Ronstan, garhauer etc. Ronstan makes pretty good stuff for lower $$$ amounts if you go new. Otherwise, once you know the sizes you might need, ie where the spec program comes into play, you can also look at 2n hand shops too.

Good luck

If you are really cost sensitive, consider Garhauer blocks etc. Good stuff, decent price. For lines, I'd look at the "Cajun XLE" (Novabraid) stuff at Cajun Trading. Hard to beat the price. Cajun Trading Company
