Which is preferable, "wing on wing" or "wing and wing"?
I did a search on SailNet and found 717 hits on WoW and 5,040 for WaW. The fourth edition of The Annapolis Book of Seamanship only lists "wing-and-wing" in the index.
So is "wing-and-wing" the correct thing to say?
