got yer attention with that?
So... I got to thinking, if I'm going to get a boat again.. me needs to start looking for slps and prices. Eastern shore preferably.

I have a feeling I am going to be looking for a slip in Earnest in the next few weeks I keep thinking I would love to be in Annapolis but don't have much hope of it happening so if anyone knows or could steer me to the right people and is it crazy to think I can stay under 300 a month?
Seems doable on the Eastern shore,

What are you looking for in a " slip" on the eastern Shore? Glitz? Or 6 poles to tie to?
Joe I'm sorry I did not see your reply sooner.

I've been sidetracked

I don't need glitz it would be nice to walk to fine dining but not necessary

, I used to be pretty good with my old day 30 in and out of places most people would never even try but, my next boat will probably be closer to 35 ft so, a new learning curve will be in order I'm sure.

Depending on your draft.
I know a inexpensive location on the eastern Shore.
4' draft restriction.
Low key, showers, water, fuel, electric, bar/restaurant on sight.
But it's 10 miles to the nearest DG and 20 miles to a grocery .
So a car is convenient.or long term planning.
But $150 a month is easy to live with.

Goose creek marina, Rumbley MD.
New owners now the pit n pub / goose creek marina.
They have slips to rent.
It's quite remote.

Whitehall Marina has slips under $3600/yr -->$300/mo. Pretty much a hurricane hole, 8-10ft depth. Well-run, outskirts of Annapolis- last exit before Bay Bridge, very quick access to the main Bay, avoids the Annapolis harbor chop and general silliness. Hinckley service yard on-site. Cantler's is one creek over, several other restaurants in Cape St Claire/Broadneck. The only hit is that you need to strategize getting there on Thurs/Fri afternoons or Sat AM because of beach traffic.

I can't get you exact quotes, but some of the marinas in Rockhold Creek (Western Shore) might be in your price range. Not the Herrington properties but I understand Hidden Harbor and Paradise are cheaper, and Deale fits your 'can walk to restaurants' criteria

Rather than make another I retitled this retitled thread I'm kind of happy where I'm at on Wharton Creek but my heart of hearts still wants to be around or near Annapolis! A quick search brought Spa, the Severn & Magothy? Is $3,000+- a year for a 34-ft boat a reasonable cost? Shoal draft.
I think I need to be out by mid November over here on Worton Creek

Drake is a bit far for me, but years ago I bought my Oday from an old-timer who is at Sherman's just up the river from HH

Ima tick over 3k at paradise in deale for my moody 376 for one year. HHN wanted 5k
I’m in the process of buying a Pearson 10m on the eastern shore. Any idea if any marina in Deale area without the initials “HH” can handle a 5’10” draft, and has immediate availability? This is my ideal choice 45 minutes from my home in NoVa, and HHN can’t squeeze me in until others haul out in December.

John at paradise has some slips available, not sure of the draft though. Did you try shipwrights(hh subsidiary now I think) or rockhold creek. I think I saw some empties at town point when I went on Sunday

Thanks. Yes, Paradise and Shipwrights both have slips. What’s your take on Paradise? I haven’t been to either. I wasn’t sure about haul out or boat services capability there.

No haul out or dry storage at pardise. its just a marina, nice bath house, no wifi, no pool, no gym, walking distance to two restaurants. I have seen several vendors on site working on boats, and plenty of folks working on their own boats. I planning on staying in water this winter and will likely get pulled at HHN next winter.

not sure of how SW is for hauling/service. whenI bought my boat last year it was on the hard at HHN and they are a nice place to deal with, and allow you to work on your own boat provided you follow their rules.

I drive to deale from Vienna, and garage to dock 52 miles right at one hour drive time provided nobody does anything stupid on the beltway.

there are also plenty of prived "back yard slips" that you might get lucky on
