Yanmar YM oil pressure alarm failure

You can check the color or the wire at the panel to help identifying the correct one. That said there is probably little danger in just trying each. With engine stopped the alarm should go off when you connect the correct wire to the sender. Of course the water coming out of the exhaust has nothing to do with the oil pressure.
I'm going to try this as I am having this exact issue. The alarm isn't going off when the engine isn't running, but will try to inspect the wiring behind the instrument panel to see if there are any loose wires, blown fuses, or grounding issues. Glad to see this thread is still alive because this has helped me out!
