I am replacing the zincs located on the pintle. The part that holds the lower end of the rudder. (Not sure that's the correct term). The replacement zinc holes do not line up. Should I just drill and tap new holes? What is the pintle made out of? I have tear drop zincs on each side.

The pintle is bronze. Are you sure you have the correct zinc? I have a 34 and I believe the zinc for the pintle is the same as the 37. I'm pretty sure it's the T-20 size, if my memory is correct.

Thanks JoBeth. T~20's is what I have but the holes don't line up with the previous zincs. I'vebern using the PO zincs left over on the boat for the past 4 years. Manufacturer unknown.
