I don't get the "protection of the guilty" mentality.... This is like showing you a picture of a Cadillac, and shipping you a Chevy..

Thank you, however, for posting enough information to identify this eBay scammer from Florida. He has a 99.1% positive feedback rating on over 4000 transactions. It would be nice if you posted negative feedback on him too...

Because the thread is about eBay;
I have used eBay to buy and sell cars and motorcycles. Each of these high dollar transactions was with an individual, and I was able to inspect the item before completing the transaction.

I have also used eBay for some boat parts (most recently a reconditioned 3" H/X to upgrade from my 2". I paid <$200), and electrical supplies ($62 for 50' of red/yellow, tinned AWG 10/2). I was happy with, and left positive feedback for, each of these transactions.

However, for anchors or chain, I believe that WM is a better option. No hassle returns, free shipping to the store, and their pricing seems to have improved lately.

An example of WM's pricing improvement; I had two helpers meeting me at the marina this spring to help paint the bottom of the boat. I needed a gallon of Pettit Bio Blue ASAP so I called JD, and they had it in stock for $120. So I drove the 10 miles from the marina to JD and bought it. On the way home I stopped at WM (5 miles away), and saw that they also had it in stock for $93!:eek:
