I have the opportunity to place my galley drain at this point. I plan on going about a foot below the waterline, the sink is close to the vessels centerline so drainage should not be a problem. Obviously there is a seacock on this drain and a proper thru hull. Any suggestions on the best location?

I see merit in the waterline argument, any debris could impinge operation of the seacock, I would like the sink to drain instantly. More input from anyone out there, more the better!
