Our 30 year old Vetus ventilators needed new interior trim rings. Vetus doesn't sell these and we've been searching for some time. We finally found a suitable replacement from an RV supply company: www.dwincorp.com/product/bigport-9850-louvered-rv-ac-ceiling-vent/ . We removed the louvered insert and cut out the support arms. They fit perfectly into the existing 5" hole for the vent. We recommend the 2" collar extension to conceal the raw edge of the deck cutout.
Also, after buying replacement PVC Yogi cowls twice we decided to paint our old ones this time. An acetone scrub and three coats of vinyl bumper spray paint from O'Reilly's and they look like new. We'll see how long the paint lasts but at $100+ per cowl it makes painting an attractive option.
Hope this is of some use for those with older Yogi vents.
